As with all the Bosch Professional series drills, the Bosch GBH 2-23 RE 110v feels a solid piece of design, weighing in at 2.5kg. The drill’s robust outer casing houses high quality metal components which are backed by Bosch’s 3 year warranty.

This corded SDS drill is designed for regular trade use, and can drill into concrete and masonry with ease. It’s a step up from the Bosch 2-18 RE 110V and its extra weight and capacity allow you to drill holes of 5mm greater diameter in concrete and masonry – worth noting if you regularly drill holes for pipes or cable.

Drilling power

The GBH 2-23RE has a hard working 650W motor which delivers a powerful 2.5 joules of impact energy.

Impact rate at rated speed: 0 – 4400 rpm

Rated speed: 0 – 1000 rpm

This means a drilling diameter of mm in concrete of 4 to 23 mm and a max drilling diameter in masonry with core cutters of 68 mm. Using the drill chuck, the maximum drilling diameter in steel is 13 mm and 30mm in wood.

Drill weight

At 2.5 kilograms it’s a not one of the lightest corded SDS drills but the compensation for this is the power it delivers.
