The Metabo BHA18LT has a distinctive design that makes it ideal for drilling fast holes for fixtures and fittings, and smaller anchor fixings. It has a patented high speed pneumatic hammer mechanism with a big, rubber grip area, handy shoulder strap and vibration dampening handle (‘Vibratech’ up to 60 % less vibration) and S-automatic torque limiting clutch.

The Metabo BHA18LT 18V cordless is a quick, punchy little drill. Power-wise it’s up there with the Makita 18V (a drill we really, really like) and if you like the shape you’ll really enjoy using it.

Drill Weight

3.2kg. Same as the Makita 18V Makita SDS but slightly heavier than the DeWalt and Bosch 18V models. That said, its distinctive design makes it easy to manoeuvre and it’s a very agile drill.

Battery type

Lithium-Ion. Typically comes with Capacity: 2.6 Ah batteries. The battery technology is highly developed with a multi-functional monitoring system to protect both the machine and rechargeable battery. As with Bosch and Makita Lio-Ion batteries, it employs air cooled technology for speedy charging and long service life. The battery packs have a tough design and a handy capacity display. Plus, as mentioned above, you can register for a 3-year warranty on the batteries and charger.

Safety clutch

The BHA18LT features Metabo’s S-automatic safety clutch for protecting the machine and the user, if the drill bit becomes unexpectedly jammed.

Chuck type

SDS Plus. With the appropriate adaptor it is also suitable for bits and accessories with cylindrical shank end (no impact)
